finally made a 3 color (layer) risograph print + added more marks with colored pencil after thinking about doing this for 3 years…!
big thanks to Kristen for inviting me to one of her workshops! it was the encouragement i needed :) it was a great group of creatives and i’d recommend taking a risograph class at worthwhile ASAP
how to do things: - in the company of others - with encouragement from a friend - time box the thing, embrace a constraint - let go of perfection - say yes to the invitation, don’t overthink
finally made my first trip to flint,mi to see Tunde and Flint Institute of Arts (FIA)! 10/10 will be back to Flint :)
vibes in america right now
wallpaper of my dreams at FIA
of course, i could not resist taking a photo of a still life on a purple wall with a lovely little glass of white wine and a bird’s nest (???).
version two of my risograph print!
REMINDERS: - make the best decision based on the info you have - check the facts - ask what exactly it is that *you* want - give it the appropriate level of anxiety and nothing more
you can still enjoy half off paintings with the code NEWSLETTER50 on my website.
And if you overthink the thing, do it anyway, with fear with apprehension... do it and you will see it was the fear of doing it that was worse. Me, every time I make plans with a friend. "Why did I make this plan? I don't want to do it" After doing it *energized* "I'm so glad I did the thing!"
